we took the tram from Kumamoto Station as instructed. it’s the first time we been to Kumamoto, we miss the stop cos the team was crowded. we didn’t know that need to get off in the front, with our big luggage, we follow the crowd get off the next station. luckily, it is not very far from the hotel. about 5 minutes walk, we reached the hotel which is located opposite bus terminal. the room is spacious. with public bath on the top floor. there is massage service which the price is reasonable. free washing machine and dryer in the public bath area, you can do your laundry while enjoy the bath. overall, a good choice

EXCELLENT location right by the Kumamoto coach station, with the shopping district, restaurants and supermarket just a 2-minute walk away. 2nd time staying here! The complimentary ice cream after the onsen and soba for late-night supper were a delightful and thoughtful touch from the onsen. Both the outdoor and indoor onsens were fantastic. Breakfast was great too & delicious. Highly recommended!

Location is right next to Sakura Machi mall and bus terminal. Near Kumamoto castle. Amenities placed at lobby for guests to take. Enjoyed the ice pops and fermented milk drinks outside onsen. The soba served as supper was delicious too. We like how the toilet is separated from the bath. Breakfast was a great spread featuring both local and continental dishes. Was able to try karashi raikon and Mt Aso milk pudding.

1. The staff were polite. 2. Hotel was clean. 3. Onsen was generally quite well kept. 4. Hotel was within walking distance to Josaien & Kumamoto Castle so it was really convenient. 5. There are 2 convenience stores on the way back to hotel from Tram Station so snacks and drinks could be purchased before returning to hotel.

Standard Dormy Inn flair. My third time in a Dormy (had tried the one in Seoul, and also Fukuoka). They have pretty standardized offering (like good value, relatively inexpensive but in a good location, breakfast has good variety, onsen bath, and free ramen at night). The parking is very interesting, "robotic parking". Car is recalled down at exit in ~ 90 seconds. Pretty impressive. Parking charge 1200 yen per night.

What a great value for dollar. The hot bath facilities were large enough to accommodate the size of the hotel. The bath never felt crowded even though there were several people using it. The outdoor bath was a great option. They offered little perks such as a free drink per stay, snacks, and evening ramen. The rooms were clean and the hotel has a modern decor. The breakfast buffet had a great selection of western and Japanese dishes. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the stay for the price point. The location is great as well. You are close to the castle, mall, and arcade. I was able to enjoy a morning run along the river which was only a few minutes jog away from the hotel. We booked a stay at a Dormy Inn in another city and we are excited to check it out.

Central location. Lots of great ramen shops around and good access to central Kumamoto attractions like Kumamoto Castle. Breakfast was fine as well.

Corner room size very good but not the twin room which is pretty small.

Before the Chinese covid , always stayed I this chain hotel, haven't been in japan for 3 years, dormy still could keep the standard., i have joined the membership club, unfotunately I did not know japanese, dont understand any info on the club email.
